The Zombies are coming!!!

We have many fun filled activities planned. There will be a short haunted walk through the Greenfield House beginning at 5:00 p.m.  Registration for the Race/Walk starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Race/Walk starting at 6:30 p.m.. You can watch the beginning and ending of our annual 5K Race/Walk at the Greenfield House. There will be a bonfire with tasty smores to enjoy after the race. After the race, please take time to drive around the Village of Athens to enjoy all the  decorated houses.

RACE:

Registration for the event will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Greenfield House Community Center, 215 N. Capital, Athens, Michigan.  The Race/Walk will begin and end at the Greenfield House Community Center. The Race/Walk will start at 6:30 p.m. There will be a trophy for the first man and first woman to cross the finish line, as well as first boy and first girl. 

 

If the runners or walkers wish to participate, they will receive flag belt for the zombies, throughout the course, to attempt to take your flags. A ticket will be provided for each flag you still have when you cross the finish line. If you have a ticket, you could possibly win an additional prize.

If you want to guarantee you receive one of the event t-shirts, please make sure you have your registration form and fee to the Athens Area Historical Society by September 25, 2025. Registrations can be mailed to AAHS, PO Box 22, Athens, MI 49011. You can download the Registration form below. Please make checks payable to AAHS.

BEST DRESSED ZOMBIE:

If you want to join in the fun, please dress like a zombie.  We will have a prize for the Best Dressed Zombie.

 

BEST DECORATED HOUSE:

Would you like to join in the fun? We will be awarding three prizes for the best decorated houses in the Village of Athens.  There is no registration needed.
