WHY SUPPORT RESTORING THE GREENFIELD HOUSE?

  • It's restoration will result in a community gathering space and much needed venue for celebrations, community events, and special activities.

  • To help save a local historic landmark.

  • To maintain a positive community focus on the importance of arts and culture on the community vitality.

  • To stand side-side with other community members who are committed to support the Athens area.

  • Historic places and buildings help tell the story of our community.

  • Once restored, the Greenfield House is ideally situated for use as a cultural gathering place, whether for a theater pre-show "meet the performers" event, post-Follies, receptions, cultural entity board retreat center, and a workshop site for art shows venue.
